3-Star CB RJ Jones Commits to NC State!

3-Star 2025 Cornerback RJ Jones (6’1″/165) verbally committed to NC State today coming off of an Official Visit to Raleigh this weekend.

Last week Jones revealed a Top-5 of NC State, UCF, USF, Louisville and Illinois, but it looks like the Wolfpack sealed the deal.

You can watch his highlights from the 2023 season here. He only played 7 games due to injury. Jones III had 9 pass breakups and 2 interceptions as a Junior at Vero Beach (Tampa, Florida).

ON3 ranks Jones III as the #59 overall player in the state of Florida in the 2025 recruiting class.

Heading into this weekend, Jones’ plan was to announce his college decision on June 29th, but when you know…you know.

This weekend, Jones was 1 of 11 2025 prospects on campus for Official Visits.

Jones is the Wolfpack’s 5th verbal commitment of the 2025 recruiting class, joining 3-Star QB Will Wilson, 3-Star TE Gus Ritchey, 3-Star DE Colby Cronk & 3-Star S Tristan Teasdell.
