3-Star 2025 Running Back Grayson Rigdon (5’11″/185) confirmed with me that he has scheduled an Official Visit to NC State for this weekend.

The Wolfpack offered Rigdon a scholarship yesterday.

Rigdon revealed a Top-7 of North Texas, Abilene Christian, Wyoming, Missouri State, Tarleton, New Mexico and Tennessee State the day before he picked up an offer from NC State.

He confirmed with me that he plans on announcing his college decision on Monday.

Rigdon originally verbally committed to Air Force on April 6th, but decommitted on September 8th.

This is Rigdon’s first season playing 11-man football. In 8 games, he racked up 1,500 total yards of offense and 27 touchdowns for Columbus (Columbus, Texas).

Prior to this season, Rigdon was one of the best 6-man football players in the state of Texas his first three years of high school, earning Class A Division II Player of the Year honors each year.

As a Junior, he completed 82% of his passes for 1,244 yards and 19 rushing touchdowns, rushed for 2,402 yards and 49 touchdowns, aw well as 637 receiving yards and 18 Touchdown receptions.

Rigdon is now a 3-Star prospect, but when he was playing 6-man football, he became the first 6-man player to ever receive a star rating in one of the four nationally recognized recruiting databases, with Rivals giving him a 2-star rating.

Rigdon is a 2-sport athlete, playing basketball for Columbus as well. His stats are just as insane on the hardwood. Last season he led the nation in scoring, averaging an audacious 45.1 points per game. He also averaged 8.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 6 steals. He shot 60% from the field and 40% from three.
