Williams-Lee took an Official Visit to NC State on the 2nd weekend in June, and then took one to Oklahoma the following weekend. He also holds offers from Kansas, Mississippi St., Texas Tech, Kansas St. and others.

As a Junior last season, he recorded 77 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries for Lakeside in Atlanta, Georgia.

Gibbs chose to Run with the Wolfpack over a Top-3 that also included Duke and Virginia Tech.

ESPN ranks Gibbs as the #18 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class. Gibbs plays for Hoggard in Wilmington, NC.

NC State offered Gibbs back on November 3rd, making them the first Power 5 school to do so.

NC State now has 12 verbal commitments in their 2025 recruiting class: 4-Star WR Jerel Bolder, 3-Star RB RJ Boyd, 3-Star WR Arrion Concepcion, 3-Star CB Cam Strong, 3-Star QB Will Wilson, 3-Star TE Gus Ritchey, 3-Star DE Colby Cronk, 3-Star S Tristan Teasdell, 3-Star WR Jamar Browder, 3-Star CB Caden Gordon, 3-Star OL Michael Gibbs & DT Omarian Abraham.

Former NC State commit Robert Jones III (6’1″/165) has committed to Illinois.

On June 9th, Jones III verbally committed to NC State after taking an Official Visit to Raleigh. Then on June 20th, he decommitted. Jones III took Official Visits to UCF and Illinois after his visit with the Wolfpack, but ultimately committed to the Fighting Illini.

ON3 ranks Jones III as the #60 overall player in the state of Florida in the 2025 recruiting class.

NC State already has 2 Cornerbacks in their 2025 recruiting class in 3-Star Cam Strong and 3-Star Caden Gordon.

3-Star 2026 Quarterback Jayvon Gilmore (6’6″/195) has released his Top-5 schools, and NC State made the cut along with Louisville, Virginia Tech, Arkansas and Texas A&M.

Gilmore has been a frequent visitor in Raleigh this year.

247Sports ranks Gilmore as the #4 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #17 Quarterback nationally.

Gilmore, who plays for Gaffney in Elgin, South Carolina, picked up an offer from NC State on February 20th.

As a Sophomore this past season at Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC), Gilmore threw for 1,767 yards and 22 touchdowns (7 interceptions).
