NC State Women Earn No. 4 Seed in ACC Tournament After 3-Game Win Streak

NC State closed the regular season on a three-game winning streak, securing the No. 4 seed in the 2026 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The Wolfpack finished the regular season 20-9 overall and 13-5 in conference play.

While NC State fell slightly short of preseason expectations after being picked to finish second in the ACC, the Pack still positioned themselves in the top tier of the league heading into tournament play.

Standout Performers

Khamil Pierre (Jr., Forward)
The late offseason addition proved invaluable. Pierre averaged 16.8 points and 11.9 rebounds, with her rebounding average leading the ACC.

Zoe Brooks (Jr., Guard)
Brooks delivered another All-ACC caliber season, averaging:

  • 16.5 points
  • 4.8 rebounds
  • 4.3 assists
  • 1.7 steals
  • She logged career highs in multiple statistical categories while serving as the engine of the offense.

Zam Jones (So., Guard)
Jones confirmed her McDonald’s All-American pedigree, averaging 14.4 points and 3.7 assists while leading the team in three-point percentage at 37.5%.

Tilda Trygger (So., Forward)
The fourth double-digit scorer for the Wolfpack, Trygger averaged 11.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.

What’s Next

NC State will open ACC Tournament play on Thursday at 1:30 PM on ACC Network.

The Wolfpack will face the winner of No. 5 seed Notre Dame vs. No. 12 seed Miami/No. 13 seed Stanford

NC State fell to Notre Dame 79-67 in South Bend on February 15, making a potential rematch particularly intriguing.

Tournament time has arrived, and the Pack enter with momentum.
