NC State Guard Jayme Kontuniemi Transferring to Troy

Former NC State Wolfpack men’s basketball guard Jayme Kontuniemi has found a new home.

The Finland native announced he will continue his college career at Troy after entering the Transfer Portal on April 7th.

One Year In Raleigh

Kontuniemi did not appear in a game during his lone season with the Wolfpack, utilizing a redshirt year and preserving all four years of his eligibility.

The international prospect received an offer from NC State on April 30, 2025, before committing to the Wolfpack less than a month later on May 23.

While his time in Raleigh was brief, the former Finland standout remains an intriguing long-term developmental prospect with four full seasons remaining.
