Scout’s Evan Daniels polled 84 of the college coaches that were out on the recruiting trail during the July Observation Periods, and he asked them which player they thought had the best “motor.”  NC State 2016 5-star Power Forward target Bam Adebayo ranked second in the poll.

While DeLaurier took home the top spot, Adebayo was just three votes behind him with 14. Third place was seven votes back.

A 6-foot-9, 230-pound center prospect, Adebayo is active, strong and tough. He has a big, thick frame that allows him to play physical, but he’s also an impressive athlete and that uses his leaping ability around the goal.

Playing for Team Loaded North Carolina, Adebayo played summer ball like every possession matters.

“He always plays like he has a chip on his shoulder,” one high major assistant told Scout. “He plays like he’s trying to be the No. 1 pick.”

“Bam’s mix of size and speed with explosive athletic ability, when you add those ingredients with his high-level motor you get a special player,” another coach added about Adebayo.

Among the schools pursuing Adebayo are Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, N.C. State, North Carolina, plus a host of others. (Scout)

NC State fans are hoping that Adebayo brings that motor to the PNC arena.
