Former NC State big man J.J. Hickson has signed a contract with the Jiangsu Tongxi Monkey Kings in China. The Monkey Kings are a part of the CBA.
Hickson played last season for another team in the CBA, the Fujian Sturgeons. In 27 CBA games in China he had very impressive stats: 24.5ppg, 13.4rpg (#4 in the league), 1.7apg and 1.2spg last season.
After arriving at NC State as a 5-star McDonalds All-American, Hickson made the most of his Freshman season, averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds. After one season, Hickson was taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round with the 19th overall pick. Hickson spent 8 years in the NBA, averaging 10 points and 7 rebounds over his career.
