Purdue OT Commit Takhyian Whitset Sets Up Official Visit to NC State

On Wednesday, NC State offered 2025 Purdue Offensive Tackle verbal commit Takhyian Whitset (6’5″/295). He confirmed with me that he has set up an Official Visit to NC State on September 28th, when the Wolfpack will be hosting #25 Northern Illinois.

Yesterday, Whitset was in attendance for Purdue’s 7-66 loss to #18 Notre Dame.

Whitset verbally committed to the Boilermakers on April 30th earlier this year. He also holds offers from Liberty, Vanderbilt, Marshall, UAB, Toledo, Ball State, Marshall, ECU, Western Kentucky and Arkansas State.

Whitset plays for Antioch in Nashville, Tennessee. ON3 ranks him as the #27 Offensive Tackle nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #8 player in the state of Tennessee.
