Last night, the season officially came to an end for the NC State Men’s Basketball team, with the Wolfpack being eliminated from the 2025 ACC Tournament.

Looking ahead to the future, what could the Wolfpack’s roster look like in 2025-26?

Seven players were honored last night for Senior Night: Guard Michael O’Connell, Guard Marcus Hill, Guard Breon Pass, Forward Dontrez Styles, Forward Ben Middlebrooks, and Forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield. (Note: Michael O’Connell was listed twice; I removed the duplicate.)

After the game, Hill announced that he intends to use the additional year of eligibility granted to former junior college players due to the NCAA’s appeal in their court case involving Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia. He also confirmed that he plans to play that additional season at NC State.

If Hill does, in fact, return, as things currently stand, NC State has seven scholarship players on the roster who are eligible to return for the 2025-26 season. However, with the transfer portal opening on March 24 (and closing on April 22), any of those players could choose to find a new school.

NC State has two signees in its 2025 high school recruiting class: 4-star forward Zymicah Wilkins and 4-star guard RJ Greer.

If no one enters the transfer portal, and with the addition of the two-man high school recruiting class, NC State would have four available scholarship slots to fill with players from the transfer portal or the high school ranks.
