We Now Know the Date for NC State vs. Kansas in 2025-26

Last May, news broke that NC State and Kansas had agreed to a home-and-home men’s basketball series, with the first game played in Lawrence this past season and the second game scheduled in Raleigh for the 2025-26 season.

On December 14th, the Wolfpack fell to the Jayhawks 60-75. At the time, Kansas was ranked 10th nationally and covered the spread as 14.5-point favorites. The total went under, sitting at 144.5.

Kansas was the better shooting team, making 56.6% from the field, while NC State shot 36.8%. The Jayhawks were +8 on the boards, but the away team was scrappy, snagging three more offensive rebounds and creating five more turnovers. NC State was +6 in points off turnovers and +5 in second-chance points. They also had 11 more free throw attempts.

According to Jon Rothstein, the second game of the home-and-home series will be played at the Lenovo Center on December 13th this upcoming season.

Historically, NC State is 1-13 against Kansas, in a series that began on December 20th, 1958. The Wolfpack’s only win in the series was the first game, defeating the Jayhawks 66-63 in Lawrence, Kansas, when NC State was ranked 4th nationally.
