In Will Wade’s interview with Andy Katz yesterday, he revealed that NC State will host Liberty next season.

The Wolfpack have played the Flames twice before, winning both games in Raleigh.

NC State won the first game of the series 85–50 back on December 17, 1990.

Here are a few notable stats from the Wolfpack’s 35-point victory:

The Pack had 19 steals in the contest, which is tied for the second-most steals in a single game in school history. NC State also pulled down 54 rebounds, the third-most in a single game in school history. The 35-point win is tied for the 15th-largest margin of victory in the Lenovo Center.

The last time the two teams met, NC State defeated Liberty 94–60. The Wolfpack was ranked 12th nationally at the time.

Julius Hodge flirted with a triple-double, posting 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Four other Wolfpack players scored in double figures: Andrew Brackman had 13, and Cameron Bennerman, Levi Watkins, and Jordan Collins each added 10.

Liberty was excellent last season, boasting a 28-7 overall record. The Flames won the Conference USA Regular Season and Tournament Championships.

They advanced to the NCAA Tournament as a 12-seed, falling to #5 seed Oregon 81-52 in the 1st Round.
