NC State Men’s Basketball & Ole Miss are Finalizing a 2-Year Neutral Site Series

According to Jon Rothstein, NC State and Ole Miss are finalizing a two-year neutral-site series, with the first game set to be played in Greensboro this season on December 21st. The game for the 2026–27 season would be held at a neutral site closer to Ole Miss, with the date yet to be determined.

Ole Miss finished last season with a 24–12 overall record and a 10–8 record in SEC play. The Rebels ultimately lost to Michigan State in the Sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, finishing 18th in the final AP Poll.

Ole Miss’ 2025 transfer class ranks 26th, according to 247Sports, and their 2025 prep class ranks 15th. Combined, 247Sports ranks the Rebels’ overall 2025 recruiting class 15th nationally.

The 2025–26 season will be Chris Beard’s third year as head coach of the Rebels. Last season, Beard led Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019, and to their first appearance in the final AP Poll since 2001.

This will mark the fifth meeting between NC State and Ole Miss, with the series currently tied 2–2.

NC State also has non-conference games scheduled with Kansas, VCU, Auburn, Liberty, UAB and North Carolina Central.

The Wolfpack will also be playing in the 2025 Maui Invitational which is made up of a field that includes Oregon, Seton Hall, Texas, UNLV, USC, Baylor and Chaminade.
