NC State Men’s Basketball will Host UNC Asheville in 2025-26

Head Coach Will Wade announced yesterday at his press conference that NC State will host UNC Asheville in a non-conference game.

The Bulldogs finished last season with an overall record of 21-11 and a conference record of 11-5 in the Big South. As the #2 seed in the conference tournament, UNC Asheville lost 67-86 in the semifinals.

Under Head Coach Mike Morrell, the Bulldogs have won 20+ games in each of the past three seasons. In 2022-23, UNC Asheville won both the regular season and tournament conference championships, advancing to the NCAA Tournament. Morrell was named Big South Coach of the Year in 2023.

Wade and Morrell served alongside one another as assistant coaches at VCU from 2011-13.

This will mark the 20th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Bulldogs, with NC State holding an undefeated record of 19-0 in the series.
