NC State just wrapped up the 2025 football regular season with a 7-5 record. With a bowl game yet to be played, where does the Pack’s record this decade rank compared to the rest of the ACC?

Since 2020, NC State is tied for the 3rd most overall wins in the ACC!

1. Clemson – 57-21-0
2. SMU – 52-23-0
3. Miami 47-26-0
3. NC State – 47-28-0
5. Louisville – 45-31-0
6. Pittsburgh – 44-31-0
7. North Carolina – 41-36-0
8. Wake Forest – 39-33-0
9. Florida St – 38-34-0
9. Duke – 38-36-0
11. Georgia Tech – 34-38-0
12. Virginia – 32-36-0
12. Syracuse – 32-42-0
14. Boston College – 31-42-0
15. Virginia Tech – 30-43-0
16. California – 29-37-0
17. Stanford – 20-46-0

Yes, I’m aware NC State hasn’t won an ACC Championship over the past 6 seasons, nor have they made it to the title game. I’m also aware that the Wolfpack hasn’t won a Conference Championship since 1979, which is the longest drought in the ACC. And, yes, of course, NC State hasn’t had a 10-win season since 2000, having produced only one in the history of the program (2002).

With all that being said, for NC State to be tied for the 3rd most overall wins in the ACC puts things into perspective. If you look at the all-time win/loss records of the teams in the ACC, the Wolfpack ranks 7th.

If you look at which teams have the most ACC wins since 2020, NC State has the 2nd most wins, trailing only Clemson!

1. Clemson – 40
2. NC State – 31
3. Miami – 30
4. Pitt – 29
5. Louisville – 27
6. UNC – 26
7. Georgia Tech – 25
8. FSU – 23
9. UVA – 21
9. Virginia Tech – 21
9. Duke – 21
12. Wake Forest – 20
13. Boston College – 17
14. Syracuse – 15
15. SMU – 14 (Joined in 2024)
16. Cal – 6 (Joined in 2024)
17. Stanford – 5 (Joined in 2024)

Every coach is going to have their critics. Fans can criticize the lack of championships, 10-win seasons, recruiting rankings, style play, in-game decisions and a litany of other things. While every fan is entitled to their opinion, Wolfpack fans should also take the above data into perspective, and be appreciative and grateful the program they love is playing at the level they are.
