November 3rd marked the beginning of a new era for NC State basketball – the Will Wade era.

And in just 22 games, the Wolfpack have already done something that took decades to accomplish before his arrival.

To fully understand how dramatic the shift has been, consider this:

Before Will Wade took over, NC State had made 16 or more three-pointers in a game just six times in program history – spanning more than 1,300 games since the three-point line was introduced.

Six times. In over 1,300 games.

That’s the baseline.

Now fast forward to the present.

Since Wade took over, NC State has already hit 16+ threes in five games – nearly matching the program’s entire historical total in just over two months.

Before Will Wade

Most Three-Pointers Made in a Single Game

1. Jacksonville (12/22/17) 19
2. Florida State (2/10/92) 18
3. UNC Asheville (11/20/95) 17
4. Syracuse (2/2/22) 16
4. Maryland (1/26/91) 16
4. Wake Forest (3/5/83) 16

Since Will Wade Took Over

1. North Carolina Central (11/3/25) 19
1. Florida State (1/10/16) 19
1. Jacksonville (12/22/17) 19
4. Florida State (2/10/92) 18
5. Texas Southern (12/17/25) 17
5. UNC Asheville (11/20/95) 17
7. Wake Forest (1/31/26) 16

7. Maryland (1/26/91) 16

A Program-Wide Shift

What happened 6 times over 4 decades is now happening routinely.

The Wolfpack have already matched or surpassed historic three-point performances 5 times in a matter of 22 games –  a clear reflection of Wade’s offensive philosophy, pace, and shot profile.

This isn’t a hot streak.

It’s a structural change.

And it’s already rewriting the NC State record books.
