NC State Men’s Basketball Season Tickets on Sale: ‘The New Era is Here’?

If you’re an NC State fan, you likely just received the email.

NC State Men’s Basketball season tickets for the 2025-26 season are officially on sale.

I’m not saying that a deal has been reached with the next Wolfpack head coach, but you can’t help but raise an eyebrow at the title of the email:

“The New Era is Here. Season Tickets are Now Available!”

It’s interesting, to say the least, to announce that the ‘New Era’ has arrived when a new head coach hasn’t been hired to replace Kevin Keatts.

This line from the body of the email is also curious:

“The future is bright for NC State men’s basketball! With new leadership for the program and exciting enhancements underway at the Lenovo Center, it’s a great time to be a member of Wolfpack Nation.”

The email doesn’t state that new leadership is coming. That’s obvious. To be honest, if it simply said “new leadership is coming,” it wouldn’t necessarily send a message of hope, because depending on who that leader is, fans might not be as inclined to click the link and purchase tickets. The sentence is written in a manner that would lead you to believe that a leader has been found, and fans should be excited about it.

I’m not saying that NC State has found a new head coach the day after Wolfpack Athletic Director Boo Corrigan met with McNeese State Head Coach Will Wade down in Louisiana.

I am saying that the wording of this email seems to be very intentional. To be frank, if Wade doesn’t end up being the next Wolfpack Head Coach, knowing the pulse of the fanbase, this email will be perceived as tone deaf in hindsight.
