NC State continues to cast a wide recruiting net under first-year head coach Justin Gainey.

Yesterday, the Wolfpack extended a scholarship offer to 2027 center Jadyn Jenkins (6-foot-10, 220 pounds), one of the top post prospects in the country.

Jenkins is widely regarded as one of the premier players in the 2027 recruiting class and has quickly become one of the nation’s most sought-after recruits.

Elite National Prospect

Jenkins is a consensus four-star prospect across the major recruiting services.

ESPN currently ranks him as:

No. 41 overall player nationally
No. 5 center in the country
No. 1 player in Pennsylvania

The other recruiting services are equally high on him.

Both Rivals and 247Sports rank Jenkins as the No. 1 overall player in Pennsylvania, while placing him among the nation’s Top 50 prospects.

Rivals: No. 44 nationally
247Sports: No. 46 nationally

Impressive Offer List

NC State joins a growing list of high-major programs pursuing Jenkins.

His offer sheet already includes:

West Virginia
Penn State
Pitt
Oklahoma State
Mississippi State
Georgia
Michigan State
Ohio State
Virginia Tech
Seton Hall
Villanova

Adding another blue-chip prospect to its recruiting board demonstrates that the Wolfpack staff isn’t shying away from recruiting battles against some of college basketball’s biggest brands.

Looking to Build Momentum

While keeping North Carolina’s top talent home remains a priority, the Wolfpack has also shown a willingness to recruit nationally for elite prospects.

Jenkins fits that mold perfectly.

Landing a player of his caliber would be a major addition to NC State’s 2027 recruiting class.
