NC State Lands Commitment From 2027 WR Landon Williams

NC State continued its recruiting momentum on Wednesday, landing a commitment from 2027 wide receiver Landon Williams.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver announced he would be running with the Wolfpack after taking an Official Visit to Raleigh this past weekend.

Recruitment Timeline

NC State extended an offer to Williams on May 5 and quickly became a major contender in his recruitment.

The Texas native took an Official Visit to Raleigh this past weekend after previously visiting both Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.

Despite interest from several Power Conference programs, Williams ultimately chose the Wolfpack.

Williams held an impressive list of scholarship offers, including:

Cincinnati
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
Houston
Iowa
Memphis
and others.

NC State was able to beat out several programs closer to home to secure his commitment.

Recruiting Rankings

Rivals currently rates Williams as a 3-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

The recruiting service ranks him as:

  • No. 57 wide receiver nationally
  • No. 57 overall player in Texas

Productive Junior Season

Williams put together a strong campaign this past fall.
