JUCO Defensive Tackle Jowhar Franklin is Planning an Official Visit to NC State

JUCO Defensive Tackle Jowhar Franklin (6’4″/315) confirmed with me that he is planning an Official Visit to NC State sometime very soon.

247Sports ranks Franklin as the #4 overall Junior College player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Franklin has an official visit scheduled with Oklahoma State for this weekend, and cancelled one with Iowa State for this past weekend.

He picked up an offer from NC State on June 9th.

Coming out of Riverdale High School (LA), Franklin held offers from Boston College, South Carolina, TCU, Maryland, Oregon State, Auburn, Washington, West Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, USC, Kentucky, Colorado, Nebraska, Ohio State, Miami, Georgia Tech, and others. As a senior, he recorded 60 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 25 sacks, 4 pass breakups, and 3 forced fumbles.

Due to personal reasons, Franklin ended up in the JUCO ranks, playing for Dodge City Community College this past season, where he posted 19 tackles in 9 games.

He currently holds offers from NC State, Oklahoma State, Cal, Kansas, Utah, Iowa State, ECU, and others.
