NC State continued its recruiting momentum this week as 2027 defensive lineman Amir Moore announced his commitment to the Wolfpack.

The 6-foot-7, 265-pound prospect chose NC State over an impressive Top-5 that included Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, giving Dave Doeren and his staff another significant recruiting victory.

Beating Out Big-Time Competition

Moore’s recruitment became increasingly competitive over the last several months, but in the end he decided to run with the Wolfpack.

Beyond his Top-5, Moore also held offers from:

Michigan State
Kentucky
Nebraska
Ole Miss
Rutgers
And others

Winning a recruiting battle that includes multiple SEC powers is always noteworthy, particularly for an in-state prospect.

Recruiting Profile

NC State offered Moore on March 31, and the Wolfpack quickly established themselves as a major player in his recruitment.

Moore is considered a consensus 3-star prospect.

Rivals currently ranks him as:

  • No. 54 Defensive Lineman nationally
  • No. 20 overall player in North Carolina
