According to Aaron Beard of the Associated Press, Dave Doeren will be returning to NC State for his 14th season as the Head Coach.

“Dave has built a program that is centered on culture and player development — on and off the field,” Corrigan said in a statement sent to The Associated Press. “You can see his passion for this program and the student-athletes in how hard our team plays and competes. I look forward to continuing to find new ways to support him and the football program.” (AP)

There was speculation that Doeren wanted to retire at the end of last season, and would likely do so at the end of this one.

Ever since that report, Doeren has doubled down time and time again that he intended to finish out the rest of his four year contract. Obviously, he was telling the truth.

Doeren is the all-time winningest coach in NC State history, with a record of 94-70. Since his arrival, NC State has the 5th most overall wins in the ACC. Since 2020, the Wolfpack is tied with Miami for the 3rd most overall wins, and the 3rd most conference wins behind Clemson and SMU (should they even count since they just joined the party?).

He has led the Wolfpack to four 9-win seasons, which is the most ever by an NC State coach. No other coach has more than two 9-win seasons.

Doeren has led the Pack to 10 bowls in 13 seasons, which is also a school record.

The Wolfpack has finished ranked in the Top-25 of the Final AP Poll under Doeren, which is tied (with Lou Holtz) for the most in school history.
