The NFL continues to roll out their Top 100 Players of 2015 list, voted on by the players, 10 players at a time.  Last night, former NC State quarterback Russell Wilson dropped in at #22, two spots behind where he was ranked in last year’s list.  Wilson is obviously well respected by his NFL peers, because he is ranked as the #5 quarterback on this list.  And what they have to respect about Wilson is an intangible that is bigger than statistics.  Wilson didn’t rank in the top-10 in completions, yards, touchdowns, or passing percentage.  He did finish ranked 10th in quarterback rating.  So why does he get rated so high?  Because he’s a ‘winner,’ and you can’t measure that in a stat.  He’s the only quarterback in NFL history to go to two Super Bowl’s in his first three seasons.
