Dave Doeren seems committed to getting the ball into true freshman Nyheim Hines’ hands this season.  They already moved the standout high school running back to wide receiver, so that he could still feature prominently in the Wolfpack offense, with the backfield being as crowded as it is.  On Saturday, Doeren spoke with the media after their scrimmage, and shared yet another way that they are creating ways to get the ball in Hine’s hands.  They want him to be the “guy” returning kicks.

“Nyheim’s an electric guy back there.  We feel good about him.  We need to get him hit a few times to get the butterflies out of his body on offense probably before we have him returning kicks, but ultimately we would love for him to be the guy returning kickoffs and punts.  Athletically Nyheim gives us something back there we haven’t had in awhile.
