NC State 2019 Safety Target Cecil Powell Decommits from Baylor

3-Star 2019 NC State Safety target Cecil Powell (6’1″/193) decommitted from Baylor on Saturday.

Powell originally committed to Baylor on December 10th.

NC State offered him two weeks ago, and he took an official visit to NC State 1 week ago. He was supposed to take an official visit to Oregon this weekend, but apparently the Wolfpack coaching staff took an in-home visit with Powell, and he didn’t end up going.

Powell had 45 tackles, 8 interceptions, 5 pass breakups and 4 forced fumbles for Piper High School (Sunrise, FL) this year.

We will have to wait and see who Powell signs with on Wednesday at 9:30am.
