Dave Doeren Enters 2019 With 4th Most Wins in NC State History
Dave Doeren is entering his 7th season as NC State’s head coach, with 43 wins under his belt, which ranks 4th all-time in school history.
Doeren has led the Wolfpack to back-to-back 9-win seasons, which only two other head coaches have done in Raleigh (Lou Holtz and Dick Sheridan).
NC State is one of only 12 teams that has 9 wins in each of the past two seasons.
NC State has gone to 5 straight bowls under Doeren, which only Sheridan has done.
While many believe that this years team will massively exceed expectations if they win 9 games, but a bowl is a high likelihood.
There has never been a head coach in school history that has led NC State to 6 straight bowl games.
If Doeren found a way to beat the odds, and lead the Wolfpack to a third straight season with 9 wins, he will do what’s never been done in school history, and tie Dick Sheridan for the 2nd most wins.
