Head Coach Dave Doeren shared at his weekly press conference that Redshirt Freshman Cornerback Taiyon Palmer will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Unfortunately, Palmer’s time at NC State has been injury riddled. Palmer missed all of last season with an injury, and redshirted the year. As a Redshirt Freshman this year, Palmer saw action in all 5 of the Wolfpack’s games, playing significant time the past two games. After playing in only 6 snaps at cornerback the first 3 games, Palmer played 26 snaps against Ball State, and 29 against FSU.

Palmer was a big-time recruit out of Archer High School in Georgia in the 2018 class, ranked 200th nationally by 247Sports.

Losing Palmer is salt in the wound for a depleted NC State secondary. Senior Captain Nick McCloud has been out since Week 1, and will miss this week once again.
