NC State vs. Duke: SERIES BREAKDOWN

NC State will host Duke tomorrow in Carter-Finley Stadium at 3:30pm. Here’s a breakdown of the series between the crosstown foes.

  • Duke leads the overall series 41-36-5
    • NC State holds the edge at home, with a 20-17-4 record.
  • The series dates back to 1924.
  • The Wolfpack are 15-4 against the Blue Devils since 1990 (including an 11-game winning streak).
    • Duke has won the past two games (2009 & 2013)
  • This is first time Dave Doeren has played Dude at home.
  • When the series began back in 1924, the two teams faced each every year (except 1944 due to World War II) until 2003, when the ACC expanded. Sadly, since then, this will be the 4th time they’ve played in the last 17 years.
