After 2 years at Cal Bakersfield and 2 years at Ole Miss, Jarkel Joiner followed assistant coach Levi Watkins to NC State.

Joiner joined the Pack in 2023. In his lone year in Raleigh, he went for 14.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game, providing a steady scoring presence and leadership in the backcourt alongside the young and talented Terquavion Smith. Joiner’s versatility and experience helped NC State to a 23-11 season, finishing 6th in the ACC and making the NCAA Tournament.

After college he entered the NBA draft, however Joiner wasn’t selected, but was signed by the Atlanta Hawks. After a decent performance in summer league, Joiner was sent to the G-League where he’s been with the College Park Skyhawks ever since.

Joiner averaged 11.1 points last year and is averaging 9.6 points per game this year. He’s shooting 42% from the floor and 36% from deep. He’s averaging 3.8 assists per game.
