Wolfpack WBB duo Aziaha James & Saniya Rivers named to ‘National Player of the Year’ mid-season watch list

Wolfpack guard duo Aziaha James & Saniya Rivers were just named to the ‘Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Midseason Watch List‘.

The Pack is one of seven schools to have two players on the list and the duo are 2 of the final 50 players.

James is a senior averaging 16.9 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. She is shooting 44.6% from the floor and almost 33% from long range.

Meanwhile, Saniya Rivers is averaging 12.1 ppg, 6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. She is shooting 43.6% from the floor and 30.4% from 3pt range.

This is a great accomplishment for the Wolfpack guards, but you could argue that one is missing. Zoe Brooks is averaging 13.3 ppg, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists. She is shooting 46.7% from the floor and 31.7% from long range. Both James and Rivers are seniors, while Brooks is only a sophomore.
