VIDEO: Will Wade gets very candid when asked about NC State speculation “We all know what’s up.”

Will Wade joined the “Field of 68” show after his team knocked off McNeese State and was asked about the NC State speculation.

Wade was very transparent with his answer…

“We talked about it. We were in practice when all that happened. You guys know. You interview for a job and your attorneys talk to their attorneys. I mean, we were in practice at Brown and Mike Martin came out and said what’s up to me. He said “You know you’re trending on Twitter!?”, “What the hell am I trending on Twitter for?”. “They said you took the NC State job.” I was like “Oh.” I got back to my phone and had like 300 text messages. When we got back at night I got back and talked to the team. We had talked on Saturday. I mean, shoot, half the kids I recruited, I told them, ‘Hey, the goal is to go Power 5 after this year and some of you guys can go with me. We all know what’s up.”

While Wade didn’t say “NC State” specifically, he did not deny that he took the job and he went on to say. he’s discussed the situation with his players. We’ve heard from sources on the NC State side that it’s a done deal, and not to worry. But I don’t think anyone is going to put their guard down until Boo Corrigan comes out and makes an announcement that the paper has been signed. However, it’s appearing that #WadeToState is happening.
