Smith verbally committed to run with the Wolfpack on August 6th of last fall. He also held offers from Duke, Wake Forest, UNC, ECU, and UNC-Charlotte.

The Reagan standout from Pfafftown, North Carolina, is a dual-sport athlete and is also verbally committed to play baseball for the Pack, having made that commitment on January 13th, 2023.

Rivals ranks Smith as the No. 25 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina.

As a sophomore, Smith threw for 2,051 yards and 19 touchdowns. Unfortunately, he missed nearly the entire 2024 season after tearing his ACL in the second game of the year.
