NC State OL Spike Sowells Jr. and Teague Andersen Returning in 2026

Starting offensive linemen Spike Sowells Jr. and Teague Andersen will be returning to NC State for the 2026 season.

Sowells Jr. earned PFF True Freshman All-American honors this season, posting an overall PFF grade of 68.4. He appeared in nine games, starting six at right guard, and finished as the third-highest graded player on the Wolfpack offensive line.

Andersen transferred to NC State from Utah State this past offseason and started all 12 games he played in at right tackle. His overall PFF grade of 69.1 ranked second among NC State offensive linemen this fall.

With starting left tackle Jacarrius Peak entering the transfer portal, the retention of Sowells Jr. and Andersen was critical for the Wolfpack.

Andersen is returning for his final year of eligibility, while Sowells Jr. has three years remaining, including a redshirt season.

NC State also received positive news earlier in the day with the commitment of ECU offensive lineman transfer Jimarion McCrimon.
