WOLFPACK FLASHBACK: Watch Leslie, Brown, Warren and Howell put on a show vs. UNC, winning 91-83 in 2013

In this game from the 2012-13 season, the Pack snapped a 13-game losing streak to UNC, defeating the Tar Heels 91-83 at the (then) PNC Arena.

Lorenzo Brown led the 18th-ranked Wolfpack with 20 points and 11 assists. Freshman T.J. Warren added 19 points, C.J. Leslie contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Richard Howell posted 16 points and 14 rebounds. Scott Wood hit key free throws in the closing seconds to help seal the win.

NC State shot 49 percent from the field and held a commanding 39-19 advantage in fast-break points.

Carolina was led by P.J. Hairston’s 19 points, including four second-half 3-pointers. James Michael McAdoo finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while guards Marcus Paige and Dexter Strickland combined for just 13 points on 4-of-18 shooting.

The Wolfpack dominated early, leading 45-26 at halftime and stretching the margin to 28 points (61-33) in the second half. UNC rallied late, cutting the deficit to 85-80 with 30.7 seconds remaining on McAdoo’s dunk, but could get no closer.

NC State finished that 2012-13 season with a 24-11 overall record (11-7 in ACC play, tied for fourth). They reached the semifinals of the ACC tournament before falling to Miami. As a No. 8 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament, the Wolfpack lost to Temple in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
