Running Back Tai Phillips has Scheduled an Official Visit to NC State

Three-star 2027 running back Tai “Boom” Phillips (5’11” / 196) has locked in an Official Visit to NC State for May 1-3, giving the Wolfpack an opportunity to further strengthen its position with one of the top prospects in the region.

Phillips announced the visit on social media last week.

Recruiting Profile

NC State offered Phillips on January 28th, and the interest is mutual. At this point, his only Official Visit scheduled is to Raleigh.

Phillips put together a strong season last fall at Cape Fear High School (Fayetteville, NC):

• 919 rushing yards

Rivals currently rates Phillips as a 3-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class and the #13 player in the state of South Carolina, transferring to play at Irmo High School in Columbia next Fall.
