Jones made a significant leap in Year 2, finishing 3rd in voting for the 2025-26 ACC Most Improved Player, and emerging as one of the Wolfpack’s most reliable and versatile pieces.

Zam Jones’ Breakout Season

Jones put together a strong sophomore campaign, averaging:

14.9 points per game (3rd on team)
3.8 assists per game (2nd on team)
3.3 rebounds per game
1.2 steals per game (2nd on team)
36.6% from three (team-high)

After starting just 2 games as a freshman, Jones started 30 of 31 games this season, becoming a foundational piece in the backcourt.

Elite Pedigree

Jones arrived in Raleigh with serious credentials:

5-star prospect
McDonald’s All-American
#17 overall player nationally (2024 class)

She leaves with 2 years of eligibility remaining, making her one of the more impactful guards now available in the portal.

Another Departure: Mallory Collier

Jones wasn’t the only move.

Junior Center Mallory Collier also announced she will be entering the Transfer Portal yesterday.

This season, Collier:

Appeared in 16 games (0 starts)
Averaged 2.6 points in 6.9 minutes per game

Coming out of high school, Collier was a 4-star prospect, ranked #55 nationally by ESPN in the 2023 class.

She has 1 year of eligibility remaining.

Collier saw action in 16 games this season (0 starts), averaging 2.6 points in 6.9 minutes per games.

In 2023, ESPN rated Collier as a 4-star prospect, ranked as the #55 overall player nationally.
