7’2” Charlotte Transfer Center Anton Bonke Planning Visit to NC State

According to Jeff Borzello, Charlotte transfer center Anton Bonke (7’2”, 260 pounds) is planning a visit to NC State.

Borzello reports that Bonke visited Kansas today and will be at Michigan State on Friday. After that, he plans to visit Cincinnati, NC State, South Carolina, and Clemson.

Bonke is coming off a productive season at Charlotte, where he averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting an efficient 57.6% from the field.

Prior to Charlotte, Bonke spent time at Providence, where his role was limited. He appeared in 16 games, averaging 6.6 minutes per contest while posting 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

He began his college career in the JUCO ranks at Eastern Arizona College, where he averaged 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

At the transfer level, both 247Sports and Rivals rate Bonke as a 4-star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the No. 105 overall player in the portal and the No. 12 center, while 247Sports lists him at No. 137 overall and No. 17 at his position.

Bonke will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
