NC State Coaching Staff Salaries for 2026 Season

With the 2026 college football season right around the corner, the salaries for NC State’s football coaching staff have been finalized.

Most members of Dave Doeren’s staff will receive raises heading into the upcoming season, according to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

At the top, Doeren will earn $5.75 million this season after receiving a $125,000 raise.

Head Coach Doeren – $5.75 million (through 2029 season)

Kurt Roper (Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach) – $972,000 (through 2027 season)
DJ Eliot (Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers Coach) – $900,000 (through 2027 season)
Charlton Warren (Co-Defensive Coordinator/Safeties & Nickels Coach) – $700,000 (through 2027 season)
Todd Goebel (Special Teams Coordinator/Running Backs Coach) – $591,900 (through 2027 season)
Brian Mitchell (Cornerbacks Coach) – $575,000 (through 2027 season)
Garrett Tujague (Offensive Line Coach/Running Game Coordinator) – $570,900 (through 2027 season)
Joker Phillips (Assistant Head Coach/Wide Receivers Coach) – $504,700 (through 2027 season)
Gavin Locklear (Tight Ends Coach) – $300,000 (through 2027 season)
Elisha Shaw (Defensive Tackles & Nose Guards Coach) – $290,000 (through 2027 season)

*Warren’s salary will increase to $750,000 in 2027.

Biggest Raises

Several coaches received sizable raises this offseason.

Dave Doeren

Doeren’s contract increases by $125,000 annually, bringing his annual salary to $5.75 million in 2026.

Charlton Warren

Among the assistant coaches, Charlton Warren received the largest raise.

His salary jumps by $170,000 to $700,000 this season and will increase again to $750,000 in 2027.

Kurt Roper

Offensive coordinator Kurt Roper received a $72,000 raise and will make $972,000 through the 2027 season.
