Hofstra transfer guard Preston Edmead (6’1”, 170 pounds) is currently on an official visit at NC State, according to reports. He previously took an official visit to Oregon.

Edmead is coming off an outstanding freshman season at Hofstra, where he earned Second Team All-CAA honors and was named CAA Rookie of the Year.

He averaged 16.1 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 38.7% from three-point range.

At the transfer level, both 247Sports and Rivals rate Edmead as a 4-star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the No. 108 overall player in the portal and the No. 22 point guard, while 247Sports lists him at No. 156 overall and No. 31 at his position.

With three years of eligibility remaining, Edmead represents both immediate production and long-term upside, making him one of the more intriguing guards currently on NC State’s radar.
