UC Irvine transfer power forward Kyle Evans (6’10”, 210 pounds) will take an official visit to NC State tomorrow, according to a source.

Evans is coming off one of the most dominant defensive seasons in the country.

He led the nation in blocks, averaging 3.3 per game, while also posting 12.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest. He shot an efficient 62% from the field and was named Big West Defensive Player of the Year, while also earning First Team All-Big West honors.

The 2025-26 season marked a true breakout for Evans. Just one year prior, he averaged 4.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks, making this jump one of the more notable leaps in the portal.

Before transferring to UC Irvine, Evans spent two seasons at Colorado State, where his role was limited. He appeared in just 20 games over that span, averaging 6.8 minutes per game.

At the transfer level, Evans is viewed as a 4-star prospect. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 105 overall player in the portal and the No. 26 power forward, while Rivals lists him at No. 117 overall and No. 32 at his position.

With elite rim protection, efficiency, and proven production, Evans would be an elite frontcourt player for the Wolfpack to land in the portal.
