EA Sports Ranks Carter-Finley Stadium Among Top 25 Toughest Places to Play

EA SPORTS College Football 27 is set to release on July 9, and one of the most anticipated features each year is the game’s rankings of the toughest places to play in college football.

This year, NC State fans have something to celebrate.

Carter-Finley Stadium checked in at No. 23 nationally on EA Sports’ Top 25 Toughest Places to Play list.

Carter-Finley Getting Respect

When EA Sports College Football 25 was released in 2024, Carter-Finley Stadium was not included among the Top 25 toughest venues in the country.

That changed last year when Carter-Finley debuted at No. 22 in College Football 26.

Now, the Wolfpack remains in the rankings, checking in at No. 23 nationally heading into the 2026 season.

The ranking reflects what NC State fans have known for years. When Carter-Finley is packed and the Wolfpack is playing meaningful football games, the atmosphere can rival nearly any venue in the country.

Fourth-Highest Ranked Stadium in the ACC

According to EA Sports, Carter-Finley is the fourth-toughest venue in the ACC.
