BETMGM recently unveiled its future odds for 2026 college football win totals, and NC State finds itself projected right in the middle of the ACC pack.
The Wolfpack’s win total has been set at 7.5 victories heading into the 2026 season.
For perspective, FanDuel’s early projections back in March set NC State’s win total at just 6.5 games.
The increase suggests oddsmakers have become more optimistic about the Wolfpack’s outlook as the offseason has progressed.
Recent History Favors the Over
NC State fans may remember a similar situation entering last season.
The Wolfpack’s regular-season win total was set at 6.5 victories heading into the 2025 campaign.
Anyone who bet the over cashed their ticket.
NC State finished the regular season with a 7-5 record before defeating Memphis 31-7 in the Gasparilla Bowl to finish 8-5 overall.
Now oddsmakers are asking a simple question:
Can Dave Doeren’s program clear the eight-win threshold once again?
BETMGM’s ACC Win Totals
Miami 10.5
SMU – 8.5
NC State – 7.5
Louisville – 7.5
Pitt – 7.5
UVA – 7.5
Clemson – 7.5
Virginia Tech – 6.5
Georgia Tech – 6.5
Cal – 6.5
FSU – 6.5
Duke – 5.5
Wake Forest – 5.5
Syracuse – 4.5
UNC – 4.5
Boston College – 3.5
Stanford – 3.5
Respect for the Wolfpack
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the rankings is where NC State sits compared to the rest of the conference.
The Wolfpack is tied for the third-highest projected win total in the ACC despite being picked near the middle of the conference by several preseason magazines.
BETMGM projects only Miami (10.5) and SMU (8.5) to finish with more wins than NC State.
The Wolfpack shares the 7.5-win tier with Louisville, Pitt, Virginia, and Clemson.
Considering NC State returns quarterback CJ Bailey and is coming off its fifth eight-win season in the last six years, the projection reflects the level of consistency Dave Doeren’s program has established.
What Does 7.5 Mean?
From a betting standpoint, a win total of 7.5 means there is no push.
If NC State wins:
8 games or more = Over hits
7 games or fewer = Under hits
The line essentially asks whether the Wolfpack will finish with a winning season that reaches at least eight victories.
Given Doeren’s track record, it’s a number that should spark plenty of debate among fans.
