NC State linebacker Sean Brown has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans.

Brown’s final season in Raleigh was cut short due to an injury suffered in NC State’s fifth game against Virginia Tech. Despite the abbreviated year, he made a strong impact early, recording 44 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup in just five games.

At that pace, Brown was on track for a breakout campaign, projecting to finish with over 110 tackles.

Heading into the season, Brown was recognized nationally for his athletic profile. Bruce Feldman included him on his annual “Freaks List,” highlighting his rare combination of size, speed, and strength.

A converted safety, the 6’0”, 224-pound linebacker moves like a defensive back, clocking a 4.47 40-yard dash along with a 3.97 shuttle. His explosiveness showed up in testing as well, posting a 38.5-inch vertical and a 10-foot-3 broad jump. In the weight room, Brown backed it up with a 530-pound squat, 365-pound bench, and 325-pound clean.

In 2024, Brown led NC State with 96 tackles, earning All-ACC Honorable Mention honors.

Now, he heads to Tennessee with a chance to prove that his athletic ceiling and early-season production translate to the next level.
