Will Wade glazing Wolfpack fans in recent interview. “Their fans are incredible…I understand their hatred.” Are we buying it?

Will Wade is talking NC State again, and since it’s Thursday night and not a ton is going on, we’ll open the floodgates on this one.

Here is what he had to say.

“I’ll say this about NC State, their fans are incredible. They’ve got an incredible fan base, they have an incredible passion, they have a SEC type of fanbase. Most of the ACC is not that, but NC State does have an SEC-level fanbase and they deserve to win big in basketball. LSU cares about football so they deserve to win big. Hopefully, Coach Gainey will be able to do that for them.

But I look, I understand their frustration and hatred and that sort… but you know, not everybody understands about fit. This is just a great fit for me. I always root for NC State, they treated me really well, and I hope they have nothing but success, even though they wish ill will on us because that’s kind of the two sides of the coin.”

Now you can look at this one of two ways.

Wade is being open and transparent about his feelings towards NC State fans and really loved Raleigh but it just wasn’t the right fit.

ORRRR…..

He loves being in the media, and suddenly every time he posts something, or anytime something is posted about him, Wolfpack fans are flooding the comments with snake emojis and AI clips of him overweight and dancing. Being extremely media savvy, he knows that complaining about it will only increase the onslaught and ignoring hasn’t seemed to work. So now he’s trying a new route. Talking about it head-on and complimenting Wolfpack fans.

What do you think? Is Wade being sincere, or is he trying to figure out a way to quiet the Wolfpack’s social media attack dogs?
