4-Star Offensive Lineman Kaden Buchanan Visiting NC State

2027 offensive lineman Kaden Buchanan (6’5”, 332 pounds) confirmed he will be taking an official visit to NC State this weekend.

Buchanan is nearing a decision, having recently trimmed his recruitment down to a Final 3 of NC State, Missouri, and Kentucky. He also has official visits scheduled with the Wildcats and Tigers.

NC State has been involved in his recruitment for quite some time, extending an offer on June 2 of last year. On top of his Final 3 schools, Buchanan also holds offers from Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Indiana, West Virginia, Colorado, UNC, Maryland, and others.

From a rankings standpoint, 247Sports rates Buchanan as a 4-star prospect, ranking him as the No. 237 overall player nationally in the 2027 class, the No. 14 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 11 player in the state of Tennessee. Rivals and ESPN rate him as a 3-star prospect.

Buchanan plays at Friendship Christian School in Lebanon, Tennessee, where his size and physical presence have made him one of the top interior linemen in the class.

With a decision likely on the horizon, this weekend’s visit could be a pivotal moment as NC State looks to land one of its top offensive line targets in the 2027 cycle.
