NC State is heating up on the recruiting trail.

Less than 24 hours after landing linebacker Jake Godfree, the Wolfpack picked up another commitment this morning from 2027 defensive lineman Julius LaRosa III (6’1”, 280 pounds).

LaRosa becomes the sixth member of NC State’s 2027 recruiting class.

Quick Recruitment Win

NC State moved aggressively in LaRosa’s recruitment.

The Wolfpack extended an offer on April 13 and managed to get him on campus for an official visit less than a month later, momentum that quickly turned into a commitment.

LaRosa also held offers from Kansas, FAU, UCLA, Louisville, Tennessee, South Carolina, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, James Madison, and others.

Production in the Trenches

LaRosa was a wrecking ball this past season at University Christian in Jacksonville, Florida.

His junior season numbers:

59 tackles
17 tackles for loss
7 sacks

Recruiting Profile

Both Rivals and 247Sports rate LaRosa as a 3-star prospect.

Rivals ranks him as:

No. 98 overall player in Florida (2027 class)

With back-to-back commitments now in the fold, NC State is beginning to build real momentum in the 2027 cycle.

Check out his highlights.
