NC State tight end Justin Joly was selected by the Denver Broncos in the 5th round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the No. 152 overall pick.

Denver made a move to go get him, trading up and sending picks No. 170 and No. 182 to secure Joly.

Joly is coming off a First Team All-ACC season, finishing with 49 receptions for 489 yards and 7 touchdowns. In doing so, he became just the fifth tight end in NC State history to earn First Team All-ACC honors.

In only two seasons in Raleigh after transferring from UConn, Joly produced at a high level, totaling 92 receptions for 1,150 yards and 11 touchdowns.

So where does that stack up historically?

Despite playing just two seasons, Joly already ranks among the top tight ends in program history, sitting 4th in career receptions, 4th in receiving yards, and 4th in touchdown receptions. Notably, every player ahead of him played at least three seasons, with most playing four.

Career Receptions
1. Jaylen Samuels (4 seasons) – 202
2. George Bryan (4 seasons) – 126
3. TJ Williams (4 seasons) – 98
4. Justin Joly (2 seasons) – 92

Career Receiving Yards
1. Jaylen Samuels – 1,855
2. George Bryan – 1,294
3. TJ Williams – 1,283
4. Justin Joly – 1,150

1. Jaylen Samuels – 19
2. George Bryan – 17

To be frank, Denver got a steal getting Joly in the 5th round.
