According to The Athletic, former NC State quarterback Russell Wilson is “in deep discussions to go into television,” signaling that he may be seriously considering retirement from the NFL.

If Wilson does decide to hang up the cleats, it would mark the end of one of the most accomplished careers by a former Wolfpack player, and one that will likely lead to a future induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Wilson’s Career NFL Stats

Passing Yards: 46,966 (16th)
Touchdown Passes: 353 (12th)
Completions: 3,951 (15th)
QB Rating: 99.3 (5th)
Total Offense: 48,785 (13th)
4th Quarter Comebacks: 32 (9th)
Rushing Yards by QB: 5,568 (4th)
Pro Bowls: 10 (5th)

Wilson’s legacy is also defined by his success on the biggest stage.

He led the Seattle Seahawks to a dominant Super Bowl victory in 2014, defeating the Denver Broncos 43-8. He returned to the Super Bowl the following season, narrowly falling to the New England Patriots 28-24.

From Raleigh to the NFL’s biggest moments, Wilson built a career defined by consistency, playmaking, and winning.

Now, he may be preparing for his next chapter…this time, in front of a microphone instead of behind center.
