Recently Matthew touched on just how good of a season Jacoby had in 2014. Here is a recent highlight video of Brissett’s junior campaign. Number 12 will be all important this season as he looks to catapult the Pack towards the top of the ACC. As I watched these highlights I can’t help but notice how good Jacoby is at navigating the pocket and using his legs to extend plays. This ability is rare and is a huge problem for opposing defenses. A great example occurs at the 1:44 mark in the video where Brissett simply steps up in the pocket to thwart a defensive end who was in his face before he could look up field, Jacoby then composed himself and threw a strike to Bo Hines for the score. In the prior sentence I use the term “simply” loosely as it was not that simple of a move and a move only a handful of QB’s can make at the collegiate level. Is Jacoby primed to become the number 1 signal caller in the ACC? Time will tell as the season is quickly approaching.

The Eagles Drafted NC State Center Dylan McMahon in the 6th Round

Published

on

NC State Center Dylan McMahon was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 6th round of the 2024 NFL Draft, taken with the 190th overall pick.

McMahon was a 4-year starter at NC State, starting in 43 of the 48 games he has played in. Instead of returning for his final year of eligibility, McMahon bet on himself, and it looks like it paid off.

At the NFL Combine, McMahon ranked in the Top-10 in 4 of the 5 events, and in the Top-5 in 3 of them.

3-Cone – 7.26 seconds (2nd)
Shuttle – 4.33 seconds (2nd)
Broad Jump – 9’7″ (4th)
Vertical – 33.0″ (8th)
40 Yard Dash – 5.10 seconds (20)

I’m not attempting to be prophetic, but for perspective, 13 years ago, Jason Kelce was taken in the 6th round with the 191st overall pick.
