At 6pm 2016 3-star LB Brock Miller committed to NC State.

Watch the VIDEO of Miller making his commitment HERE.

“I’m excited and honored to announce that I am joining the Wolfpack. I’m verbally committing to play college football at North Carolina State University.

Their slogan is 1 Pack, 1 Goal and I’m all in.

From a football standpoint, they play in the Atlantic Coast Conference. I think it’s the best conference out there. Every team is so balanced, so you don’t just have one powerhouse and I like that.

Coach Dave Doeren, my new coach at N.C. State, told me that the ACC Atlantic Division had more NFL Draft picks (31) this year than any other conference division. It just shows it’s the best opportunity for me to get to the next level — or maybe I should say the next, next level. After all, I do have one year of high school football left.

N.C. State was committed to me playing linebacker there and that was a big factor for me.

It was really down to them and Virginia Tech and Tech wanted me to play defensive end more than linebacker. It was a really tough decision between the two of them, but N.C. State wanting me to play linebacker helped me make my decision.

Another factor for me was N.C. State felt like home.

I lived in Charlotte from the time I was 3 to 8 and my sister was born in North Carolina. We still go up every summer because we have friends and family there and I love North Carolina. It’s my favorite state and I always wanted to get back there.

Now it’s time just to focus on my senior season and helping my team win a district championship.

I’m done with recruiting. It’s time to get back to work.

#STATEment.” (VIA TC PALM)

Miller chose to run with the Wolfpack over Virginia Tech, Virginia, California, and Kentucky.

We will talk to Miller later and will have more on his commitment.

This is great news considering how quiet the FB recruiting news has been lately.

NC State is Looking to Flip Rutgers Commit Ben Black

Published

on

Rutgers 2024 verbal commit Ben Black is on an Official Visit to NC State this weekend, according to a source. Black originally verbally committed to Rutgers back on June 11th, but that didn’t stop the Wolfpack from extending him an offer on October 8th.

Black is a 3-star prospect out of the prestigious Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. While he committed to Rutgers to play Wide Receiver, it is my understanding that the Wolfpack are recruiting him to play Cornerback. NC State already has two cornerbacks verbally committed in their 2024 recruiting class: 4-Star Asaad Brown and 3-Star Jivan Baly.

Former Vanderbilt CB Commit Jaren Sensabaugh is Taking an Official Visit to NC State this Weekend

Published

Former Vanderbilt 2024 Cornerback Commit Jaren Sensabaugh (6’0″/170) is taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend.

Sensabaugh originally verbally committed to Vandy back on June 20th, but that didn’t stop teams from recruiting him. On November 12th, Sensabaugh picked up an offer from Tennessee, and on that same day, he decommitted from Vanderbilt. Sensabaugh lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

NC State offered Sensabaugh back on June 13th after a good showing at the Wolfpack’s camp.

After taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend, Sensabaugh is scheduled to take Official Visits to Tennessee and Missouri in December, on the 8th and the 15th respectively.

Tennessee looks like the favorite at this point, but NC State always leaves a good impression when they get players on campus for an Official Visit.

Is NC State Going to Flip a 4-Star RB Who Just Decommitted from Michigan State?

Published

on

Yesterday news broke that 4-Star 2024 Running Back Anthony Carrie (6’0″/200) had decommitted from Michigan State. Carrie originally verbally committed to the Spartans on June 24th.

Despite the fact that Carrie was committed to MSU, that didn’t stop NC State from turning up the heat in their recruitment of him. Carrie took an Official Visit to Raleigh the first weekend of November, when the Wolfpack beat Miami 20-6.

Sophomore NC State Nose Tackle Brandon Cleveland went to Carollwood Day High School in Tampa, Florida, which is where Carrie goes as well. Carrie told me that Cleveland, his former teammate, is recruiting him hard, trying to get him to flip his commitment. Cleveland is like an older brother to Carrie.

It looks like things are pointing in NC State’s favor at this point. NC State insiders at 247Sports and ON3 have both projected that Carrie will in fact flip his commitment to NC State.

This would be massive for the Pack, especially considering the fact that Sophomore Michael Allen just entered the Transfer Portal. Carrie is a big time prospect, ranked 120th overall nationally by Rivals. They also rank him as the #10 overall Running Back.

As a Senior, Carrie rushed for 1,026 yards (7.8 yards per carry) and 12 touchdowns in 9 regular season games. Carrie also had 2 touchdown receptions.

We are Entering Flip Season

Published

on

It’s that time of year when you start seeing players flip their commitment. About a week ago, NC State flipped 3-Star Wide Receiver Christian Zachary from being a UVA commitment, to a Wolfpack commitment.

What future flips are on the horizon for NC State?

Well, this past weekend, NC State hosted Ben Black, who is currently a verbal commit to Rutgers. As expected, Black walked away with an offer. The Wolfpack offered him as a Cornerback, not a Wide Receiver. Black is a 3-star prospect out of Mallard Creek in Charlotte, North Carolina. He committed to Rutgers on June 11th.

Also, 4-Star Running Back Anthony Carrie committed to Michigan State on June 24th, but that didn’t deter NC State from offering him on September 21st. Carrie has set an Official Visit to NC State on November 4th, and is being heavily recruited by NC State Nose Tackle Brandon Cleveland, who is his former High School teammate.

On the negative side of flip season, without fail, a player or two will inevitably flip their commitment away from the Wolfpack. Keep your eye on 4-Star Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson. Anderson verbally committed to NC State on August 12th. With that being said, Anderson took an Unofficial Visit to Georgia this past weekend. Georgia lost out on 4-Star Ny Carr, who recently committed to Miami, so it looks like they have turned their attention to Anderson. Tennessee and Michigan were the other teams in Anderson’s Top-3 besides NC State, but Georgia offered last month. Michael Clark, NC State recruiting analyst for 247Sports, has already submitted a Crystal Ball prediction that Anderson will flip to Georgia…that’s not good.
