NC State had their first Fall Scrimmage this morning in Carter-Finley Stadium. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett talked with the media afterwards. Here is the video. I will post a transcript later.

Transcript
“There was a lot of competition back and forth.  Everybody came out with a great mentality and a great mindset.”

“The offense got things going early.  Coming from a long break, getting that first game action in the stadium, I thought we came out and really played well.  There’s some stuff we need to clean up, but overall both sides of the ball came out ready to play.”

“Everybody is coming out ready to get better each and every day, and that’s what we are looking forward to the most right now.”

“It was a lot of coming out like the first part of the game, and then we did some situational stuff.  We got the chance to see a lot of players step up and make plays.”

“The offensive line is doing great.  You can’t ask for much more from them.  They are doing everything in their power to control the line of scrimmage, and they are doing a really good job at it.”

“The more new players we have step up, the more our offense grows.”

“Bo (Hines) was a solid player, but that’s a solid group there now, and they’re out making plays.  It will be good to see what they can do this year.”

“The young guys are doing great.  They’re making plays.  Nyheim scored today.  I think all three of them scored today probably (Johnny Frasier & Reggie Gallaspy).  They’re just out here having fun and playing the game, learning each and every day, and trying to get more comfortable with the offense.”

“In the years to come, that group that just came in, they’re going to win some games. That’s a great class that just came through.  The players that we have now in place…it’s just going to be a special group this year.”
